Russell (Russ) R. Young
Biography
Russ Young regularly advises multinational companies on transfer pricing and international tax issues, representing taxpayers from the transactional planning stages through appellate litigation. He has significant experience in addressing issues involving complex economic analyses and issues faced by life sciences companies. Russ served as Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Chicago Tax group from 2015 until 2019.
Practice Focus
Mr. Young helps clients balance transfer pricing compliance with other legal issues. He is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of tax controversy, and frequently advises companies assessing tax risks that are not yet under IRS audit. Mr. Young also assists corporate clients in resolving issues at the IRS Examination or Appeals level. In addition, he has represented taxpayers in litigation cases in the US Tax Court, US Courts of Appeals and the US Supreme Court.
