Tom’s experience includes advising sponsors, corporate borrowers, direct lenders, and other financial institutions on a broad range of complex finance transactions and products, including cross-border leveraged and acquisition financing and special situations matters in Europe, the Middle-East and the Americas.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Tom worked at other leading international law firms.

• Acted for Samos Energy in the debt financing of its acquisition of oil and gas shipping assets from Petrofac and BlackRock in Singapore and Malaysia.
• Acted for HIG Capital in the debt financing of its acquisition of CPS Building Services.
• Acted for HIG Capital in the debt financing of its acquisition of Aspire Pharma.
• Acted for North Wall Capital in the debt financing it arranged for the Olsam Group to acquire and aggregate Amazon brands.
• Acted for North Wall Capital in the debt financing it arranged for the acquisition of a leading capital markets consulting and managed service provider.
• Acted for Fairfax Financial in financing arrangements for its acquisition of shares in Gulf Insurance Group from Kuwait Projects Company.
• Acted for a syndicate of banks in the refinancing of EUR 220 million acquisition facilities arranged by Banco Santander for the acquisition by a joint venture between BlackRock and Naturgy of an interest in the Medgaz natural gas pipeline between Algeria and Spain.
• Acted for BTG Pactual in the USD 250 million debt financing it made available to Africa Oil Corp for the acquisition of shares in Petrobras Oil & Gas B.V. from Petrobras.
• Acted for Adeptio AD Investments in the USD 1.5 billion syndicated debt financing of its acquisition of Americana, a Kuwaiti listed food group.
• Acted for Shanghai Pengxin Group in the syndicated debt financing of its acquisition of dairy assets.
