Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has appointed Anders Fast, currently Stockholm Managing Partner, to the Firm’s Global Executive Committee, effective from September 2023.
Anders has deep experience in leading complex M&A and Private Equity transactions, is a former Steering Committee member of the Firm’s Global Private Equity Group, and also currently serves as part of the Firm’s EMEA leadership team. He also has a keen interest in sustainability and environmental issues; Stockholm was Baker McKenzie’s first office to be ISO-certified for its environmental work, and Baker Mckenzie was the first law firm in Sweden to achieve this.
Commenting on the appointment, Milton Cheng, Global Chair, Baker McKenzie, said, “Our new Executive Committee member brings a wealth of leadership experience and deep expertise in our core areas of focus. Anders is highly respected as an expert in the private equity, transportation and pharmaceutical sectors, and he has a keen interest in sustainability and environmental issues. In addition to the new appointment, London-based partner Kirsty Wilson will take up the role of EMEA Chair, as she continues in her Executive Committee and Global Inclusion, Diversity and Equity leadership roles. Esteban Raventos will step down from the Firm’s Executive Committee at the conclusion of his five year term.
