Baker McKenzie has advised EDPR Sunseap Group ("EDPR Sunseap" or "Company") on its acquisition of two solar PV projects from Xuan Thien Group, a leading renewable energy developer in Vietnam.

The two projects, totaling 200 MWac (255 MWdc), are located at the Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province, Vietnam. This transaction not only represents the company's largest utility-scale solar investment, it also doubles its operational capacity in Vietnam, strengthening EDPR Sunseap's presence in the Asia Pacific region.

The Baker McKenzie team was led by Partner Nguyen Lan Phuong with the support of Partner Nguyen Thanh Hai. They were assisted by Special Counsel Vo Phuong Chi, Associate Ngo Chi Hoang Yen, and other Vietnam office colleagues.

Commenting on the transaction, Lan Phuong said, "This deal marks an important milestone in our client's journey in expanding in Vietnam and its long-term commitment to the Vietnam market. We are very pleased to have been able to bring our strong M&A experience and renewable energy sector knowhow to the table and bring this strategic deal to fruition for EDPR Sunseap. We look forward to supporting EDPR Sunseap as they continue with their ambition to lead the energy transition in Vietnam and the rest of the region by 2025."
