London is home to the Firm's largest office where Baker & McKenzie has been well established since opening in 1961. With more than 400 legal professionals, we have a substantial presence in the legal and business community.

The wave of copyright cases from the CJEU continues, with the court issuing its ruling in the long running Meltwater litigation, confirming that the copies made when internet browsing fall within the EU's temporary copies exception, and as such do not require authorisation, either express or implied, from the relevant copyright owner. In other developments, we look at the status of the new copyright exceptions in the UK, CJEU case law in the realm of private copying and levies, and report on the latest status of the UK's Consumer Rights Bill as well as guidance issued by the Commission on the Consumer Rights Directive. As ever, we can't cover everything, so we have picked the developments that we think are particularly important.
