Manuel Padrón-Castillo joined Baker & McKenzie in 1992, and is currently national coordinator of the Firm’s Automotive practice in Mexico and coordinator of the Foreign Trade and Customs Practice Group in the Juarez office. Mr. Padrón-Castillo has written several articles related to manufacturing in Mexico, and has actively given lectures organized by various associations, including the Mexican-American Chamber of Commerce and American Management Association. He previously served as professor in the masters program of the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez as well as visiting professor in the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Juárez.

Mr. Padrón-Castillo concentrates on advising the manufacturing “maquiladora” industry on all matters related to business planning and compliance, as well as representing foreign investors doing business in Mexico. He is seasoned in the areas of commercial and administrative law, and has advised on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment and managing of projects within Mexico.
