Colin Murray is an experienced trial lawyer who is knowledgeable in complex domestic and international business litigation. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie's San Francisco office in 2012, Mr. Murray was managing partner of the Firm's San Diego office and chair of its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He has been recognized in San Diego Super Lawyers as one of the Top 50 in San Diego and the San Diego Daily Transcript's Top Attorneys. Mr. Murray is exceptionally fluent in the areas of business litigation as well as regulatory enforcement and white collar defense.

Practice Focus

Mr. Murray focuses his practice on business and intellectual property litigation, as well as securities and white collar defense. His civil trial experience includes representing multinational companies in complex litigation matters, including failed stock purchases, intellectual property disputes, theft of trade secrets, employment disputes, unfair competition (under California Business and Professions Code section 17200), breach of contract, fraud cases and False Claims Act litigation. Mr. Murray’s securities and white collar experience includes conducting internal investigations on behalf of special committees, and defending clients facing regulatory and criminal investigations. Throughout his career, he has tried 55 cases to jury verdict and represented clients in bench trials, administrative proceedings and arbitration hearings.
