Andrew Martin trained and initially worked in England, followed by several years in each of Hong Kong and Australia before settling in Singapore in 2002. Acted for large NYSE listed processor of agricultural crops including soybeans, corn, wheat and cocoa, in connection with its disposal of certain Chinese assets to a leading SE Asian agribusiness group in return for shares.
Acted for Indonesian conglomerate in connection with the acquisition of 50% interest in Cypriot holding company for an Eastern European edible oils and grains business.
Represented private equity arm of large Australian investment fund, Babcock & Brown, on two rounds of investments into an offshore holding company with underlying assets in Indian passive telecoms infrastructure.
- Acted for privately held Singapore based contractor on its joint venture in Pakistan in a high end residential development
- Conducted a corporate governance audit on a 45/55 telecommunications joint venture between a large European multinational and the government of a South Asian state. Providing comprehensive analysis and suggestions for improvement in operation of board, shareholder communications and certain internal systems.
- Advised on compliance/anti-corruption issues for regional HQ of large US multinational with manufacturing and distribution operations across Asia-Pacific.
