Andrew Martin is the head of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group in Singapore and a member of the Firm’s Global Compliance Steering Committee, India Focus Group and Asia Pacific Regional M&A Steering Committee. He is recognised as a leading lawyer by legal directories such as Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500. He trained and initially worked in England, followed by several years in Hong Kong and Australia before settling in Singapore in 2002.
Mr. Martin is a corporate and commercial lawyer with a particular focus on cross-border M&A and joint ventures, including post-acquisition integration and restructuring. He also advises extensively on compliance and governance matters especially anti-bribery issues where he supports clients on their internal investigation and compliance programs. His practice covers and contacts span the wider ASEAN region giving him a sound understanding of operating in Southeast Asia. He advises both multinational companies and private equity houses from Asia, the US and Europe on their investments and business conduct in the region.

Advising a Thai industrial conglomerate on the Singapore and HKG aspects of its acquisition of a Vietnamese ceramics business.
Advising US NYSE-listed Archer Daniels Midland, one of the world’s largest agricultural processors of soybeans, corn, wheat and cocoa, on its SGD730 million disposal of certain Chinese assets to Wilmar International Ltd.
Advising the private equity fund, EQT Greater China II Limited, on its acquisition of the Classic Fine Foods Group across 13 countries, a leading multinational importer and distributor of fine foods to high-end hotels and restaurants and subsequent bolt-on acquisitions for the target.
Advising TUV SUD Group from Germany on the acquisition of the PSB group of companies in the first disposal by a Singapore statutory board and the subsequent divestment of its education business to Barings PE and its technology consultancy division to Doerfer US.
Advising a major French multinational on a series of industrial acquisitions in Singapore.
Advising a major Japanese personal healthcare group on the restructuring of its Asia Pacific group of companies.

Co-lead partner to a major Asian chemical company on all aspects of a large scale investigation arising from allegations of serious misconduct in SE Asia. Entailed advising on laws of Singapore, Malaysia, US (FCPA), the United Kingdom (Bribery Act) and Indonesia.
Advising on pan-Asian anti-bribery investigation for a US multinational company including advice on self-reporting obligations, bribery offences and anti-money laundering issues covering misconduct in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and China.
Advising a European multinational on an investigation into whistleblower allegations of employee kick-backs and lavish hospitality in its Asian supply chain.
