Olivier Vasset
Biography
Olivier Vasset joined the Employment Practice Group of Baker McKenzie in 1994. His practice covers the full range of labor law at the local and international level, with particular emphasis on complex reorganizations, employment law issues in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions, works councils and trade unions, the European Works Council, and collective bargaining agreements (in particular, agreements relating to working time reduction).
Practice Focus
Mr. Vasset has significant experience in massive redundancies (or alternative plans such as voluntary departure programs) for economic reasons, and assists companies in their negotiations with unions and works council and in their discussions with the labor administration. He also frequently works on the structuring of employment-related agreements in companies, as well as the hiring of, and separation from, managerial and key employees. He also has experience in employee benefit issues, including collective profit-sharing and savings plans. Furthermore, he regularly advises on employment issues linked with local and global outsourcing projects, particularly for companies in the bank and insurance sector.
