1. Data controller

2. Purpose and legal grounds of the processing
Prior to the collection of the personal data, Baker McKenzie will provide information to the data subjects about the purposes and legal basis in connection with the relevant processing activity, as wells as the rights of the data subjects. The general purposes for which Baker McKenzie will process the personal data of the data subjects are the following: (i) to send information of interest to you, including invitations to events that are organised by Baker McKenzie, on the legal basis of your consent; and (ii) to maintain our commercial relationship with you, if such be the case. To such end, the legal grounds for processing your data will be the relevant service agreement that is executed.
3. Data retention period
Baker McKenzie will process your personal data for a period of three years after your last interaction with us, notwithstanding the time it is necessary to retain your data for the purpose of filing, exercising or defending potential claims that may arise, pursuant to the applicable laws in force.
4. Recipients of your data
Your data may be shared with third-party service providers who will act as Baker McKenzie's data processors. In addition, Baker McKenzie may assign or communicate your personal data in order to fulfill its obligations with the public administrations, in those cases where this is required by the applicable legislation in force from time to time, as well as by administrative bodies such as law enforcement officers or the courts.
We also inform you that your data could be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area and anywhere Baker & McKenzie International has offices. The locations of said offices can be found in the following link. In such cases, the transfers will be performed on the basis of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. 5. Rights
Baker McKenzie is hereby informing you of your right to access, correct, oppose, delete or restrict the processing of your data free of charge, as well as to refuse the automated processing of your personal data, which you may exercise by sending an email to the following address: dpo.spain@bakermckenzie.com. In the case of proxy, said representation must be evidenced in a valid document.
You are entitled to oppose the processing of your data for the purpose of informative communications, by simply notifying Baker McKenzie in this regard. To do so, please send your request via the procedure described in the preceding paragraph. Furthermore, you may also request to be removed as a recipient of commercial communications by following the instructions set out therein (for instance, by clinking the link included in each).
In addition to the foregoing rights, you are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time, using the aforementioned procedure. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the legality of any data processing that was performed prior thereto. Baker McKenzie may continue to process your data to the extent that applicable law allows.
We also inform you of your right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
6. Amendment of this policy
Baker McKenzie may amend its Privacy Policy in accordance with applicable law at all times. In any case, we will inform you of any change in our Privacy Policy that could have a material impact on your privacy and data protection. If this is required by applicable regulations, we will provide you with the opportunity to reissue your consent.
