Prof. Redmar Wolf is a tax advisor in Baker McKenzie's Tax Practice Group in Amsterdam. Redmar is also a Full Professor of Tax Law (Indirect Taxes) at the University of Groningen and a Deputy-Justice at the District Court of Arnhem-Leeuwarden. Redmar has authored a variety of articles on VAT and related topics for the authoritative Dutch journal Het Financieele Dagblad and the leading Dutch tax magazine Weekblad voor Fiscaal Recht. He wrote a PhD-thesis on VAT carousel fraud and several books on tax aspects of Dutch real estate. Redmar speaks frequently on VAT and transfer tax-related topics.

Practice Focus

Redmar’s practice focuses on VAT and other indirect taxes including Dutch real estate transfer tax. His clients include multinational companies, investment funds and real estate investors and developers. Redmar has represented clients before various courts, including tax courts and the Court of Justice of the EU. Cases include addressing the VAT-levy on intra-community transactions, the VAT and Dutch transfer tax qualification of real estate and the VAT treatment of vouchers.
