Biography

Faye Williams is a member of Baker McKenzie's Banking, Finance & Major Projects Group in Toronto. She joined the Firm as a summer student in 2017. Faye graduated from the University of Toronto's combined JD/Master of Global Affairs program before returning to the Firm to complete her articles of clerkship.

Practice Focus

Faye's practice focuses on the procurement, financing, implementation, and sale of major projects and public private partnerships (P3s) involving energy, infrastructure and other asset-classes in North America and globally.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advising a consortium of infrastructure funds in connection with the acquisition of an interest in a portfolio of late stage development and operating renewable energy projects across the United States.

  • Advising a shortlisted consortium in connection with the New Adult Mental Health & Addictions Facility P3 project in Newfoundland.

  • Advised DIF Capital Partners on its acquisition of BluEarth Renewables and its portfolio of renewable energy assets across North America.

  • Advised a shortlisted consortium in connection with an auction for the sale of an interest in a desalination plant in California.

  • Advised a North American power company on the sale of its interests in a cogeneration plant in Ontario.
