Judith van Gasteren is a senior tax lawyer in Baker McKenzie Amsterdam’s Compensation & Benefits team and a member of the Europe Global Employee Mobility group. She has substantial experience advising on the international tax and social security aspects of employee compensation and benefits. Judith frequently speaks at seminars and regularly publishes articles in Dutch magazines such as ArbeidsRecht and Forfaitair. She joined the Firm in 2004.
Judith’s practice focuses on wage tax and social security law. She advises international listed companies on matters involving terms of employment, wage tax audits and equity-based award programs, among others. In addition, she also assists with negotiations and concluding agreements with the Dutch Tax Authorities with respect to wage tax. Judith is involved in the tax aspects of reorganizations and employment conditions in connection with international assignments and salary split scenerarios. Furthermore, she advises companies on the tax and social security position of supervisory board members.
