Biography

Chen Tang is an associate in Baker McKenzie's New York office. She is a member of the Firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group.

Practice Focus

Chen represents private equity firms and their portfolio companies and corporate borrowers in a wide variety of US and cross-border leveraged finance transactions. She also represents financial institution lenders in connection with cross-border syndicated and bilateral secured credit facilities.

Representative Legal Matters

Prior to joining the Firm, Chen was involved in the following matters:

  • Represented administrative agent, joint lead arranger and joint bookrunner in a USD 230 million senior secured credit facility to facilitate the leveraged buyout of a national and international masterbatch manufacturer.

  • Represented private equity sponsor and its portfolio company in a (i) a first lien senior secured credit facility and (ii) a second lien senior secured credit facility to facilitate the leveraged buyout of an electrical products manufacturer.

  • Represented a major Asian bank as the lead lender in a USD 300 million credit facility to facilitate the development of a Manhattan real estate project.
