Biography

Saber Soliman is a counsel within the Cairo office of Baker McKenzie where he heads employment litigation practice.

Practice Focus

Saber focuses on employment and dispute resolution with a focus on employment litigation and commercial litigation. Saber has more than 30 years of experience working with a wide variety of multinational and local companies in various industries in a broad range of employment litigation and advisory matters.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Acting for a banking company in connection with a labor arbitration filed by the Federation of Egyptian Banks claiming employees profit share, salary increase, etc.

  • Acting for a company in connection with several employment litigation cases, including cases filed by former employees claiming entitlement to profits, and a case filed against one of its employees for committing serious errors that caused damages to the company.

  • Acted for an international hotel chain in connection with labor arbitration cases filed by Syndicate of Tourism & Hotels against our client in connection employees' end-of-service bonus.

  • Acting for one of the world's largest oil field service companies in connection with labor cases filed by employees claiming compensation rights for terminating their employment contracts and other entitlements related to their employment.

  • Acting for a global aerospace and defense company, in connection with labor cases filed by former employees claiming compensation and end-of-service bonuses.

  • Represented a global aerospace and defense company in connection with a case filed by a former employee claiming entitlements for terminating their employment contract.

  • Represented one of the world's largest energy companies in connection with labor cases filed by employees following their termination. 

  • Represented an international oil & gas company in connection with employment termination procedures and employment litigation.

  • Represented a leading IT company in connection with a labor case regarding the termination of an employee.

  • Represented a leading Swiss pharmaceutical company in a litigation claim filed against it by an Egyptian patient arguing they were subject to an illegal clinical trial by their doctor for one of the medicines produced by the Swiss company.
