Alberto Semeria has been a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Milan office since 1994. He advises mainly on mergers and acquisitions, general corporate issues and commercial transactions, as well as litigation and arbitration related to such areas. He is a regular speaker at promotional and training events on corporate and M&A matters, as well as at the Master of Criminal Corporate Law by JLS in Milan. Mr. Semeria recently contributed to a treatise on the law governing the criminal liability of corporations (La Responsabilità degli Enti – Commento Articolo per Articolo al D.Lgs. 8 giugno 2001 n. 231).
Mr. Semeria represents US, European and international corporations in M&A transactions and corporate matters, particularly in relation to investments or divestments in minority participation and the exercise and protection of corporate rights. He offers insightful advice on complex commercial transactions, including joint ventures or contractual and corporate structures regarding property development, construction and other major development projects. Mr. Semeria’s assistance extends to litigation related to his areas of practice — including arbitration — and insolvency and pre-insolvency proceedings. He works with various industry clients, including those in the automotive products, computers, consumer electronics, medical products and devices, telecommunications and venture capital sectors.
