Brian Segal is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Toronto office. He has written and spoken extensively on Canadian and cross-border tax issues and presented papers at various Canadian Tax Foundation conferences. He co-authored the Canadian section of the CCH loose-leaf service on international transfer pricing and edited international issues of Carswell’s Taxation of Real Estate in Canada.
Brian was listed as a leading lawyer in Canada by International Tax Review in 2014. He was recommended in International Tax Review's World Tax 2015 and recognized in Legal 500 Canada in 2015 and was a 2016 Winner of the International Tax Review’s Americas Joint Venture Deal of the Year.
Brian mainly advises on income tax matters, with particular focus on cross-border issues. He has extensive experience in transfer pricing strategy and complex cross-border income tax planning for blue-chip multinational companies across a wide range of industries.
