Dr. Thomas Schmitt joined Baker McKenzie’s IPTech team in Vienna in September 2018. Before, he worked at a renowned law firm in Vienna where he collected extensive expertise in the areas of IP/IT and competition law. From 2012 to 2016, he was a research assistant at the University of Vienna, Department of Civil Law and published numerous articles on IP and IT law.

Thomas advises multinational and domestic clients on data protection, telecommunications law, IT outsourcing, software licensing, cyber security and e-commerce matters.
