Biography
Gina Sato is an associate in Baker McKenzie's New York office. Gina joined the Firm in 2019.
Practice Focus
Gina primarily practices in the areas of banking, finance, projects and real estate. Gina advises domestic and foreign clients in connection with project financing and the sale and acquisition of energy and other infrastructure projects. Her experience also includes general bank finance transactions (including syndicated loans and asset-based lending transactions) and real estate financing transactions.
Representative Legal Matters
- Represented a publicly traded global conglomerate manufacturer of industrial products in negotiating and closing a USD 1 billion multi-currency unsecured revolving loan facility with a syndicate of 13 international lenders and a USD 455 million unsecured syndicated revolving loan facility.
- Represented a utilities company managing major US power plants in the USD 150 million refinancing of municipal bonds.
- Advised a US-based developer in connection with the USD 630 million project financing of a portfolio of wind and solar projects across five states including California and Texas.
- Advised a developer of power-generating plants in connection with its investment in a joint venture valued at USD 2.7 billion to build and operate an interstate 349 mile-long HVDC transmission line.
- Represented a French financial lending institution in negotiating several loan facilities with Latin American regional banks for purposes of strengthening South America's agribusiness sector.
- Advised a global conglomerate in negotiating a senior secured revolving credit facility for up to USD 100 million in connection with a joint venture for the development and construction of renewable energy projects.
- Assisted with advice to a luxury fashion retailer and supported the transfer of approximately 250 leases in connection with its global reorganization.
