Biography

Sebastian Salido-Aguilera is a junior associate of the Guadalajara Office and a member of the Firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. He joined the Firm in February 2015 as a law clerk and has more than 4 years of experience in intellectual property matters. His main areas of practice are brand management, IP litigation and copyrights.

Practice Focus

Sebastian focuses on intellectual property litigation and brand management. His practice covers advising foreign and domestic clients on brand enforcement and prosecution including cancellation, nullity and infringement actions before the Mexican Patent and Trademark Office and constitutional and administrative appeals. He works for clients from various fields and industries, such as luxury and fashion goods, consumer goods, restaurants, healthcare, wine and spirits.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised and represented an auto parts manufacturers in the largest seizure derived from a raid of counterfeit parts in simultaneous locations in Mexico.

  • Coordinated and defended one of the world's leading consumer goods companies on a "Trademark hijacking" case.

  • Counseled one of the world's largest tequila producer on a trademark Infringement case.

  • Designed several anti-dilution strategies for foreign and local clients.
