Biography

Rebecca Romig is an associate of Baker McKenzie's International Commercial & Trade practice group in Frankfurt. She joined the Firm in November 2018. Prior to this, she studied at the University of Freiburg and the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom. During her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Frankfurt, she worked for an international law firm in Frankfurt and for the legal department of an international food company.

Practice Focus

Rebecca advises clients engaged in all industries on all aspects of commercial and distribution law and related antitrust law. She drafts and negotiates agency, distribution and franchise agreements as well as commercial agreements, such as purchase and supply, service, manufacturing agreements and advises on standard agreements and general terms and conditions. Rebecca is also regularly involved in transactions.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised an international luxury goods manufacturer regarding the implementation and enforcement of its selective distribution system.

  • Advised internationally operating companies with the implementation of their franchise system in Germany.

  • Advised a German automotive OEM on distribution law and antitrust law matters.

  • Advised Uniper on contractual matters regarding the proposed project to develop a liquefied natural gas (LNG) Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
