David I. Roche handles a wide range of intellectual property matters, including general counseling in the areas of patents and technology, patent litigation, patent prosecution and license agreements. He has written several articles on patent law — all of which have been translated to Japanese for publication in the International Legal Strategy. In addition, Mr. Roche co-authored "New Patent Term Affects US Licensing" for the September 1995 issue of Les Nouvelle. His professional affiliations include membership in the Licensing Executives Society and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.

Practice Focus

Mr. Roche’s practice involves working on all facets of prosecution in the US Patent and Trademark Office and litigation in US Federal Courts. He also assists clients in asserting their patents, and defends companies charged with patent infringement. Mr. Roche has substantial experience in drafting and negotiation of license agreements, and is versed in IP matters related to mergers and acquisitions such as intellectual property due diligence and portfolio evaluation.
