Biography
Aura is an associate with a focus on labor law. She graduated from the National University of Colombia and also pursued complementary studies in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST by its acronym in Spanish).
Aura has over six years of experience in labor consulting and litigation at law firms handling corporate labor relations in the private sector. She clerked for a judge within the judicial branch has provided pro bono legal support in labor matters to vulnerable individuals and organizations.
Practice Focus
Aura focuses her practice on labor and social security counseling, which includes analyzing disciplinary processes, responding to petitions, resolving concerns about salary, social benefits and social security issues, contract termination, among others.
Aura is also experienced in reviewing and preparing contracts and regulations of all kinds, counseling and client representation in judicial and administrative proceedings, replies to lawsuits and constitutional actions, provision of legal training, update of changes in legislation and participation in labor audits.
Representative Legal Matters

Advised the Colombian branch office of a multinational conglomerate corporation dedicated to industry, infrastructure and transportation, on a mass termination of employment contracts process.

Successfully advised in a complex constitutional action, initiated by a former employee who was an HIV carrier and claimed to be reinstated in his position, after being fired without just cause.
