Pascal Richard is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Zurich office. His practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions and private equity.

Before joining the Firm in 2016, Pascal worked as a legal counsel in the legal department of a Swiss defense and technology group of companies and as an associate and partner, respectively, in business law firms in London and Zurich.

Pascal regularly conducts presentations on M&A transactions and corporate law, inter alia, at the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

Practice Focus

Pascal advises listed and nonlisted clients on domestic and international M&A transactions and corporate restructurings, as well as general corporate and commercial matters. He also represents clients in these areas in court and arbitration proceedings.

  • Advised South Pole Holding AG on investment rounds led by Temasek and LGT in South Pole Holding AG, as well as on numerous buy-side transactions.
  • Advised Swiss Post on the acquisition of a majority stake in Tresorit.
  • Advised UBS on the sale of UBS Fondcenter to Clearstream. 
  • Advised sellers on the sale of Trivadis group to Accenture.
  • Advised Giesecke+Devrient GmbH on its investment in Netcetera Group.
  • Advised Mövenpick Group and Kingdom Holding Company on the sale of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts to AccorHotels.
  • Advised majority shareholders on the sale of SSN Group AG to Consus Real Estate AG.
  • Advised Fortress Paper Ltd. on the sale of Landqart AG to the Swiss National Bank.
  • Advised Aduno Gruppe on the sale of Aduno SA to SIX Swiss Exchange. 
  • Advised Swedish Intrum Group on numerous M&A transactions.
