Carles Prat practices in the area of commercial litigation, with special emphasis on intellectual property and competition law matters. He began his legal career in 1981, joined Baker McKenzie in 2006 and currently serves as head of the Intellectual Property and Antitrust practice groups. Mr. Prat teaches at the Alicante and ESADE universities and regularly speaks in seminars on trademark and competition law. He is a council member of Marques and chair of its Amicus Curiae team. Mr. Prat has also been the vice-chairman of the Intellectual Property and Competition Law Committee of the Barcelona Bar and the Catalan Society for Legal Studies.
Mr. Prat routinely advises large Spanish and international companies on commercial litigation — particularly trademark, patent, copyright, commercial competition and unfair competition cases — before Spanish courts and at the EU level.
