Biography

Christian O’Connell is a member of the Firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group, and has extensive experience in international corporate law and cross-border transactions. Christian is also a member of the Firm's French Initiative, which provides special counsel to French companies doing business in the US and Canada, as well as to North American companies doing business in France. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie's Washington, DC office, he practiced in the Paris office of another international firm.

Practice Focus

Christian's practice focuses on international corporate law. He has served as counsel to US and European companies in a wide range of international financing and business transactions, including corporate investments and acquisitions, structured and project financings, securitizations, and mutual fund offerings. He has also represented clients before US federal district and appellate courts in telecommunications, intellectual property, and unfair competition disputes.
