Matt Nochowitz is a partner of Baker McKenzie's Tax Practice Group in Chicago. Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Matt worked at Whirlpool Corporation where he held various senior positions including Vice President of Global Tax, Corporate Treasurer (also overseeing Global Real Estate and Enterprise Risk) and Corporate Controller.
Matt has over 20 years of experience structuring complex transactions across multiple technical disciplines, international tax planning, corporate reorganizations and a broader range of topics including: liquidity planning (particularly in a distressed environment), enterprise risk, accessing global debt capital markets, foreign cash management, complex hedging strategies, and capital allocation strategies in the face of shareholder activism.
