Biography

Tricia Nicholson is an associate in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group of Baker McKenzie, Chicago. Prior to joining the Firm, Tricia served as senior editor of the Boston College Journal of Law and Social Justice.

Practice Focus

Tricia advises multinational companies on global and domestic mergers and acquisitions, corporate and supply chain restructurings, and pre- and post- transaction integrations.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Representing two US public companies on multi-jurisdictional post-acquisition integrations.

  • Advised Abbott Laboratories on the disposition of Alere, Inc.'s Triage® MeterPro cardiovascular (CV) and toxicology business and B-type Naturietic Peptide (BNP) assay business run on Beckman Coulter analyzers (USD 680 million).

  • Advised Abbott Laboratories on the disposition of Alere, Inc.'s epoc® Blood Analysis System.

  • Advised Brunswick Corporation on the acquisition of Cybex International, Inc. (USD 195 million).

  • Advised Johnson Controls, Inc. on the global separation of its automotive experience business into a new NYSE-listed company, Adient (USD 4.4 billion).
