Biography

Prabhu Narasimhan is a senior strategic advisor to multi-billion family offices, private equity funds, family-backed conglomerates and sovereign wealth funds across Europe and the Middle East in relation to matters affecting their structuring, investment direction, risk diversification strategy and asset protection. 

Prabhu particularly specialises in advising multi-billion family offices in relation their structuring and restructuring and has established in excess of 20 multi-billion family offices. Multiple family offices have credited Prabhu and his team for deep knowledge of family offices and for crafting strategic transformation of family-backed businesses and family offices. Chambers and Partners observed in 2019 that his family office clients believe he is "a real asset - no problem is insurmountable and he is always at hand to ensure that the most efficient and workable solutions are found."

In addition, Prabhu has a thriving Governmental advisory practice and has advised multiple sovereigns in relation to their crafting and implementation of high impact economic stimulus involving tax laws. Legal 500 has recognised the significant work done in this area by noting his “expertise in advising foreign governments in relation to their tax legislation.”

Prabhu is known for his creativity, commercial acumen and innovation. His work in helping HM Treasury craft the UK withholding tax exemption for Private Placements and his restructuring of the world of tennis broadcasting (restructuring of ATP Media) has been recognised by Financial Times Innovative Lawyers as being amongst the foremost innovative transactions in Europe in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
