Janeth Morales is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Tax Practice Group in Mexico City. She has over 10 years of experience in corporate tax compliance and tax consulting. She is knowledgeable in the preparation and issuance of tax reports, as well as the coordination of all types of formalities with tax authorities and the preparation of documentary evidence for tax audits.
Ms. Morales advises clients on compliance with tax obligations related to the filing of legal entities' tax returns, payments abroad, capital contribution account (CUCA), net after tax profit account (CUFIN), and tax losses. She prepares and revises several tax calculations: annual and estimated calculations, sale of shares of individuals residing in Mexico and abroad, as well as capital reductions. She is also in charge of the revision and preparation of information required to recover federal taxes through refunds and offsets. Her clients include commercial, industrial and service companies, as well as companies in the maquiladora industry, among others.
