Biography

Chiara Giorgia Monga is counsel in the Tax practice group of Baker McKenzie Italy.

She is experienced in international taxation and transfer pricing, with a 15-year experience developed in the tax practice of a renowned big four.

Chiara has been a lecturer in many transfer pricing seminars and conferences, and she has participated in drafting the transfer pricing sections of tax publications dedicated to the fashion and food and beverage sector.

Practice Focus

Chiara has a consolidated experience in the transfer pricing field, in particular in the design and review of policies for several multinational groups as well as in business restructuring projects impacting the supply chain. Her professional background includes also the negotiation and conclusion of several advance transfer pricing agreements (both unilateral and bi/multi-lateral), assistance in the pre-litigation and litigation phases following disputes on transfer prices with frequent discussions with representatives of the tax authorities, filing of Mutual Agreement Procedures and related interactions with the CAs. She developed management skills through Global Transfer Pricing Documentation projects. During her career, she has also worked on numerous Patent Box procedures.
