Jennifer Molnar is a partner in Baker McKenzie’s Washington, DC office. Her practice focuses on US federal income taxation of corporations, with an emphasis on domestic and international planning, transactions and compliance. Jennifer has more than 20 years of transactional tax experience. She is a frequent speaker, including for Tax Executives Institute, American Bar Association, International Fiscal Association, and Bloomberg tax conferences.

Practice Focus

Jennifer's practice covers international tax planning and controversy matters for US and foreign-based multinational corporations. She advises on cross-border planning matters involving international intangibles planning, domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations, post-acquisition restructuring, joint ventures, tax treaties, Subpart F planning, transfer pricing, global workforce, post US tax reform tax planning and other matters.

  • Served as tax counsel to Altria in its approximately USD 50 billion spin-off of Kraft.
  • Served as tax counsel to Altria in Philip Morris spin-off deal.
  • Served as tax counsel for 3M in USD 1.2 billion Aearo acquisition.
  • Served as tax counsel to Mondel─ôz International in the 2015 formation of the USD 5 billion Jacobs Douwe Egberts global coffee joint venture with D.E. Master Blenders.
  • Represented Kraft in spin-off of Post cereals business.
  • Advised Altria in UST acquisition.
  • Advised Philip Morris in Colombian tobacco acquisition.
