Biography

Robert Mignin represents employers in employment, labor and litigation matters throughout the United States, including administrative proceedings before the EEOC, NLRB, DOL, OFCCP and state agencies. He represents employers in single plaintiff and class or collective action employment disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration concerning allegations of discrimination, whistle blowing, retaliation, violation of wage and hour laws and enforcement of confidentiality/non-compete agreements. He also represents employers in labor relations matters pertaining to unions and union organizing activities, collective bargaining, arbitrations and NLRB proceedings. Mr. Mignin regularly presents workshops and training programs on positive employee relations and achieving a culture of compliance and diversity.

Practice Focus

Mr. Mignin advises employers on drafting executive employment and international assignment agreements; development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures; corporate compliance programs and codes of conduct; alternative methods of resolving employment disputes; litigation avoidance strategies and mandatory arbitration. He also represents employers and organizations, domestically and internationally, on employment and labor ramifications of business reorganization and workforce restructuring, downsizing, rightsizing, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency, unionization and collective bargaining strategy, cost containment, absence and leave management, confidentiality and data privacy policies, protection of confidential business information, international assignment and mobility programs, as well as diversity and harassment in the workplace.
