Sara is a lawyer graduated from Universidad de los Andes and a specialist in Commercial Law. In 2016 she obtained a LL.M. degree in Intelectual Property from Queen Mary University in London, United Kingdom.

For more than 10 years, she has advised companies related to the filing and processing of trademark applications, the design of strategies to overcome oppositions, defense of trademarks from cancellation due to lack of use and the rejection of registrations before the Trademark Office. Also, she is in charge of the protection and defence of the trademarks portfolio and comprehensive support for the development of international IP solutions.

Prior to join the firm, she served as advisor to the Delegate of Industrial Property of the Colombian Trademark Office.

She actively participates in the pro bono work at the Bogota office, as a member of the local team in association with Fundacion Pro Bono.

Practice Focus

Sara specializes in design and implementation of management strategies, protection and defense of the national and international trademarks portfolios. Her practice focuses on Trademarks, IP Transactions, IP Disputes, Brand Management, and Brand Enforcement.
