Gillian Maharaj provides strategic advice and counsel to domestic and global clients, in the public and private sectors, in relation to complex employment matters including performance management, termination, reduction in force, and human rights and accommodation. She designs workplace policies to achieve compliance and promote business objectives as well as preparing agreements and other documentation for the employment relationship. Gillian also conducts investigations into discrimination, harassment, and other misconduct, including recommending resolution strategies to advance workplace restoration and manage risk. She also provides labour and employment advice on large, multi-jurisdictional transactions, working closely with the Firm’s Corporate & Securities practice group.
In addition to her advisory practice, Gillian represents clients in litigation and other disputes, encompassing all areas of labour and employment law, including privacy law.
