Alex is an associate in the Tech and Commercial team of Baker McKenzie's London office. Alex advises clients across a wide range of IT, technology, regulatory and commercial work.

Practice Focus

Alex's practice spans a broad range of transactional and commercial advisory work, focusing on telecommunications regulatory issues as they apply to the technology sectors. Alex also advises on general commercial and contractual issues and has been involved in the drafting and negotiating of a range of domestic and international technology and commercial agreements.

Representative Legal Matters

Recent projects include:

  • Advising a wide range of clients from a number of industries (including some of the world's largest tech companies) on telecoms regulation, guiding them through complex issues which impact product design and product launches. 

  • Coordinating a large multi-jurisdictional project relating to the internationalisation and launch of a connected vehicles offering. 

  • Coordinating and advising on a multinational telecom authorisations project, helping a client to obtain all registrations and licences needed to provide regulated services in new geographies. 

  • Acting for a cyber-security services provider in the agreement of a long-term cyber-security offerings partnership. 

  • Drafting and advising on a variety of commercial agreements for a client under an ongoing retainer arrangement, including distribution, licensing, and technology procurement agreements. 

  • Drafting and negotiating a software development agreement for the procurement of a bespoke financial trading platform. 

  • Providing technology and commercial support on corporate M&A deals.
