Maciej Lugowski is a senior associate in Baker McKenzie's Warsaw office. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a certified legal adviser for 10 years and worked as the head of the legal and compliance unit in WOOD & Company Financial Services a.s. S.A. Oddzial w Polsce. He was responsible for WOOD's in-house legal assistance in investment banking transactions, such as IPOs, SPOs, ABBs and tender offers, as well as for the branch's overall legal and compliance service, He also worked in the legal department of brokerage house UniCredit CAIB Poland S.A., which is now known as Pekao IB S.A.
Mr. Lugowski focuses his practice on capital markets law covering IPOs, SPOs, ABBs, tender offers, and public M&A transactions; and laws connected with running brokerage activity in Poland, including regulatory and compliance issues. He provides services to brokerage houses and other financial institutions, public companies and potential investors in M&A transactions with respect to public companies.
