Macarena Lopez is experienced specialized in the area of labor law and immigration. She advises national, foreign and multinational companies on general employment, work visas, collective bargaining, and other administrative and judicial procedures. She also provides study of documents and drafting of reports in due diligence processes.
Before joining Baker McKenzie, she worked for six years in the Labor & Employment team of a local law firm.
Macarena focuses her practice on labor, employment and immigration matters in Chile. She advises different types of clients in a range of business sectors including services, industry, retail, among others.
Furthermore, she teaches employment law at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and participates in seminars and other activities focused on training and awareness to small company owners and employees in labor and employment matters, together with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the International Labor Organization.
