Raul Lara-Maiz is a member of the Labor & Employment Practice Group in the Firm’s Mexico office. He also practiced in immigration law for four years prior to joining Baker McKenzie. In addition, Mr. Lara-Maiz is currently a member of the Global Immigration and Mobility Steering Committee representing Latin America.
Mr. Lara-Maiz practices mainly in the areas of labor and immigration. He regularly gives legal support on individual and collective labor matters. He also helps Mexican and foreign multinationals obtain legal immigration documents for their employees.

Provides assistance in the elaboration of labor documents, including individual and collective labor contracts and internal working regulations.
Advises on the implementation of employee transfer strategies between global companies, including developing international transfer policies from the immigration and labor point of view.
Advises on obtaining immigration documentation.
Handles document preparation and immigration documents processing.
Represents clients in many labor litigation matters.
Participates on many corporate restructurings.
Advises clients on their closings and massive layoffs.
