Biography

Bettina Klein is an associate in Baker McKenzie's Zurich office and a member of the Firm's Corporate Finance Practice Group.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2020, Bettina worked as a legal counsel with a major Swiss bank where she gained in-depth experience in special financing transactions such as corporate leasing, real estate leasing and factoring. She further worked as a research assistant at the University of Zurich and trained as trainee lawyer with international law firms in Zurich and Madrid.

Bettina graduated from the University of Fribourg (Master of Laws) and the University of Zurich (Bachelor of Laws). She was admitted to the bar in 2017.

Practice Focus

Bettina advises domestic and international clients in the areas of capital markets, banking and finance, restructuring and insolvency as well as in general corporate, commercial and contract law.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Structured the first Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) under Swiss law and advised VT5 Acquisition Company, the first Swiss-listed SPAC, on its initial public offering.
