Biography

Dr. Vineet Hegde is a junior associate in the International Commercial & Trade Practice Group in the Brussels office. He joined Baker McKenzie in August 2023.

Vineet advises clients on European Union and international trade law, with a focus on trade remedies, WTO law, customs rules, rules of origin, market access, and regulatory barriers.

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Vineet interned at a leading law firm in international trade in Brussels. Previously, he was a doctoral researcher and teaching assistant at KU Leuven. He has also worked for the Government of India in Washington, DC, USA.

Vineet's research has been published in leading journals. He also regularly teaches on international trade law.

Practice Focus

Vineet advises on international trade law, including trade remedies, customs, rules of origin, market access and regulatory barriers.

In the area of trade remedies, Vineet regularly assists clients in anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, safeguards and circumvention investigations.
