Practice Focus
Russell advises a wide range of clients in relation to all aspects of their cross-border tax structuring. He has a particular focus on the UK DPT provisions, hybrid legislation and Offshore Receipts Tax legislation and regularly assists multinational companies with the design of their global holding, intellectual property and supply chain structures.
Russell frequently helps clients to resolve on-going controversies with HM Revenue and Customs.
Russell has been heavily involved in the OECD Base Erosion Profit Shifting initiative and the proposals for Taxation of the Digital Economy, assisting clients to determine the potential implications for their businesses.
With regard to industry focus Russell has primarily worked in the software and technology sector and the pharmaceutical sector.
