Robert Gough is a Senior Associate in our Corporate Markets and Environmental Markets teams. Robert joined the Firm in Melbourne, Australia in 2011 and commenced his current role in 2014. In addition to Melbourne, he has also worked in our London (2018-19) and Sydney (2014-15) offices.

Practice Focus

Robert's practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, renewable energy and clean technology transactions, and general corporate law. He acts for listed and private companies based in Australia and overseas on cross-border and domestic transactions and projects, with particular experience in renewable energy and clean technology transactions and private M&A.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advising Australian and multinational public and private corporations on acquisitions, investment, divestments and joint ventures in relation to renewable energy projects
  • Advising clients in relation to the development and management of renewable energy projects, including negotiation of power purchase agreements
  • Advising multinational corporations on market leading domestic and cross-border acquisitions and disposals, with particular experience in the healthcare industry
  • Advising a range of clients on non-transactional matters such as corporate governance and regulatory compliance
