Biography

David G. Glickman is well-versed in matters relating to tax planning — especially with respect to domestic and foreign mergers and acquisitions — and tax controversy. He has lectured in various tax institutes and meetings throughout the US, and has taught tax courses in a number of universities. Mr. Glickman has also written key articles for different taxation journals. He served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Treasury (Tax Policy) in the US Department of the Treasury, and is a recipient of its Exceptional Service Award.

Practice Focus

Mr. Glickman has been involved in numerous reorganizations — both acquisitive and divisive — especially with respect to non-taxable and cash acquisitions. In addition, he has handled numerous controversy matters with the Internal Revenue Service, as well as advised on applying for and obtaining technical advice memoranda and private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service.
