David Ken Fujii
Biography
David Fujii leads the Mexico Japan Desk at Baker McKenzie's Monterrey and Mexico City offices. Proficient in Japanese, English and Spanish, and knowledgeable on Japanese culture due to his heritage, Mr. Fujii has experience in the manufacturing, consumer and commercial sectors and has worked for American and Japanese companies for more than 10 years. As a member of the Firm’s Japan Desk, he supports Japanese companies in establishing operations in Mexico & Latin America, as well as handles new projects related to business development, among other matters.
Practice Focus
Mr. Fujii regularly conducts research, forms strategic alliances with key associations, and develops proposals and strategies in support of business development. He works with Japanese clients mainly in the automotive and electronics sectors, as well as in the pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and banking and finance sectors, among others. He helps identify new business opportunities among the Firm’s existing Japanese clients and new clients, and provides legal services in their own language to establish strong relationships. By focusing on business development, he helps strengthen the Firm’s position within the Japanese business community.
