Kristina Fridman is an associate in the New York office of Baker McKenzie and a member of the Dispute Resolution Group. Kristina is experienced in complex commercial litigation matters, including breach of joint venture agreements, theft of trade secrets, fraud, and high value wills, trusts & estates, and probate contests. She also has experience in international arbitration, general commercial matters and compliance investigations.

She received the Parker School Certificate for her studies in foreign and comparative law while at Columbia Law School.

Practice Focus

Kristina primarily advises foreign and domestic clients on general commercial, pharmaceutical, investment treaty, and cross-border disputes. Kristina represents corporations and high net worth individuals in an array of civil litigation matters. She has represented clients involved in ICC, JAMS, AAA, and UNCITRAL arbitrations as well as in New York courts.

  • Representing the beneficiaries of a decedent’s trust in a contested high-value probate action and related declaratory action.

  • Representing an insurance technology provider regarding two Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) class actions.

  • Representing a foreign real-estate company in an arbitration and related state court action with a former business partner regarding their business divorce.

  • Representing a State government in an ICSID investor-state arbitration regarding two failed infrastructure projects.

  • Representing pro bono an affirmative asylum seeker from Mali who has faced gender-based violence.

  • Advised two multinational energy companies regarding their options in New York courts.

  • Advised a foreign hedge fund regarding its options in New York courts.

  • Represented a Netherlands tobacco company in a JAMS mediation regarding a failed joint venture.

  • Represented a high-net worth individual in mediation regarding a business divorce with a former partner.

  • Represented an international biotech company in obtaining an emergency injunction in federal court and later negotiating a settlement agreement.
