Biography

Kristina Fridman is an associate in the New York office of Baker McKenzie and a member of the Dispute Resolution Group. She has experience in international arbitration and general commercial matters. Kristina also has some experience with compliance investigations.

She received the Parker School Certificate for her studies in foreign and comparative law while at Columbia Law School.

Practice Focus

Kristina primarily advises foreign and domestic clients on general commercial, pharmaceutical, investment treaty, and cross-border disputes. She has represented clients involved in ICC, JAMS, AAA, and UNCITRAL arbitrations as well as in New York courts.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Represented the owners of a foreign pharmaceutical company and their U.S. entities in a JAMS arbitration brought by the former CEO and minority shareholder.

  • Represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration related to a post-acquisition earn-out dispute.

  • Represented an energy insurance mutual in a coverage dispute with one of its members.

  • Assisted in representing a multi-national distribution company attempting to quash a Section 1782 discovery request in aid of two arbitrations related to the termination of contract for services in the Middle East.
