Alexander Fedotov's professional experience includes the following:

  • Advising PAO Severstal in connection with the acquisition by its subsidiary of a large warehouse and manufacturing complex in Vologda Region. The transaction involved a variety of sophisticated mechanisms to protect the interests of the purchaser structured under Russian law
  • Advised a Russian state bank in connection with the acquisition of a majority stake in a major Russian production complex in the Rostov region for deep processing of grain, production of animal feed, gluten and amino acids. The transaction has been signed and completed in a very tight timeline. Joint teams of lawyers in Russia and in Cyprus have worked seamlessly to get the transaction closed by the end of 2018
  • Represented Severgroup TalentTech in connection with the acquisition of service. TalentTech is a Russian technology company and a subsidiary of Severgroup, a company managing investments on behalf of Mr. Alexey Mordashov. TalentTech specializes on the development of a comprehensive solution for integration of online education and employment, including self-employment. is the largest Russian exchange of remote work in terms of revenue and traffic, specializing mostly on digital specialists’ services: programmers, web-marketers, designers, and copywriters. The unique average monthly audience of the service exceeds 1,7 million users
  • Advised Thai Union Group on setting up a joint venture with a Russian partner (DPR Group) on the basis of the DPR Group’s existing fish and seafood business. Thai Union Group acquired 45% of a Luxembourg holding company, which wholly owns three Russian operating companies that are collectively known as the DPR Group. DPR Group is Russia’s number one canned tuna producer. DPR Group operates in both frozen and ambient segments and is involved in production and trade of canned and jarred seafood and fish products, supply of frozen fish, frozen seafood and seafood and fish products ready for retail sale to retail chains, hotels, restaurants, catering and food service customers. DPR owns brands such as Maguro, Captain of Tastes and Rybar
  • Advised Condé Nast, one of the world’s leading publishing houses, in connection with the restructuring of its mass media business in Russia. The deal involved an unprecedentedly complex analysis, both by nature and volume, sophisticated corporate and regulatory planning and structuring work
  • Advised JSC Freight Village Kaluga in connection with establishing a joint venture with PJSC Transcontainer. The new joint venture, LLC Freight Village Kaluga Sever, will operate two multi-module transport and logistics hubs in the Kaluga region (Vorsino and Rosva). The deal was completed within a short time frame and offers new opportunities for the future development of a major railway transport hub located close to Moscow
  • Advised CommScope in its global acquisition of TE Connectivity’s telecom, enterprise and wireless businesses. The all-cash transaction valued at approximately USD 3 billion worldwide;
  • Advised an international refuelling service company on options to exit from a joint-venture with a Russian partner
  • Advised an international publishing company in connection with intra-group restructuring of its business in Russia
  • Advised a beneficiary of a leading producer of magnesia products in the Russian Federation and CIS in connection with amicable resolution of conflict with a Russian partner
