Biography

Lily Duong is an associate in Baker McKenzie’s Los Angeles office and is a member of the Firm’s Employment & Compensation practice.

Prior to joining the Firm, Lily was a Judicial Law Clerk for Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia in the Southern District of California and worked as an associate at an international law firm.

In law school, Lily served as a judicial extern for the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Honorable Anthony J. Battaglia of the Southern District of California.

Practice Focus

Lily's practice covers a wide range of labor and employment matters in state and federal court, with experience in advice, counseling, and litigation.

Lily’s litigation practice includes experience with litigating single-plaintiff, class action, and multi-district litigation (MDL) actions.  She also represents employers in litigation matters on a wide variety of employment claims, including trade secret misappropriation, wrongful termination, breach of employment agreement claims, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims.

Lily also provides advice to employers on policies, procedures, and strategies to comply with federal and state employment laws and minimize exposure to potential litigation.  Among other personnel management matters, she advises clients on terminations, separation agreements, and employment agreements, including non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
