Biography

Niall Donnelly is a senior associate in the Sydney office's Energy, Resources and Infrastructure practice

Practice Focus

Niall advises on acquisitions of existing and the development of greenfield infrastructure projects across a range of industries, notably energy (power, including renewable energy and oil and gas), transport and social infrastructure. He also advises on government restructuring transactions and privatisations, including advising governments on major trade sale and contracting arrangements.

Representative Legal Matters

Prior to joining the Firm, Niall handled the following matters:

  • Acted for SK E&S on its proposed acquisition of Darwin LNG and the Bayu-Undan gas field.

  • Acted for H.R.L Morrison & Co in connection with the acquisition of Flow Systems.

  • Acted for NSW Department of Communities and Justice in relation to its exit from the provision of Disability and Aged Care Services.

  • Acted for the NSW Government in relation to the Hunter Residences Program PPP, a first of its kind PPP for the development of 69 residences to house approximately 345 residents.

  • Acted for Pacific Equity Partners and Landis & Gyr on their joint acquisition of Origin Energy's smart metering business, Acumen.

  • Acted for Whitehelm Capital in connection with the acquisition of AGL's National Assets Portfolio.

  • Acted for Lendlease in connection with Sydney Metro Works Packages.
