Biography

Amy specializes in global privacy, data security and cyber security and provides advice to a wide range of pharmaceutical and medical device companies, health care providers, financial institutions, sourcing providers, retail companies, online businesses, and other organizations on these issues. Head of the Healthcare Regulatory Business Unit and a former member of the firm’s North American Healthcare Steering Committee, Amy has significant experience advising clients on HIPAA related issues as well as GDPR and CCPA readiness and with preparation and implementation of broad-based privacy compliance programs. Amy also assists clients address federal, state and global breach notification requirements and respond to related inquiries from government agencies and other parties.

Practice Focus

Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Amy spent three years as an associate at another leading law firm in Denver, Colorado, gaining significant regulatory experience in areas including foreign corrupt practices act, export control and sanctioned country regulations as well as with drafting and negotiating IT agreements. Before attending law school, she worked as a market analyst for Cushman & Wakefield/GCI in Mexico City and is fluent in Spanish.
